Kualoa Ranch - 2 Hour ATV Ride

Ride deep into the forestry, cruising through the jungle. This environment has abundant tropical fruits and flowers, including fresh guava. The Kualoa Ranch is located on the northeastern coast of Oahu Island, Hawaii. The 2 hour ATV ride is a great alternative to the beach. Tours usually occur in the afternoon and the all-terran four-wheel ATVs reach faster speeds than horseback riding, allowing tourists to see more land. It is truly an unique experience.

Drivers are supposed to go 5 miles per hour and all riders must watch a safety video before riding the ATV. Helmets are required, goggles are optional. There is a trial run of the novices and the experienced drivers to determine which group people belong to. ATVs don't have any power steering, so it is helpful to have some strength and coordination. Tourists need to wear shoes with closed toes in order to ride the ATVs. A rain poncho can be purchased for the ATV drivers at the Kualoa Ranch store.

If you are considering riding, all ATV riders must be older than 16 years old. There are no pregnant women allowed. All ATV drivers must sign a liability release. After you sign that, there are a lot of helpful guides lead the ATV ride.

Many movies and television shows have been shot at this exciting site, including the following: 50 First Dates, Godzilla, Jurassic Park, Lost, Pearl Harbor and Windtalkers. You can imagine yourself in one of these movies as you recognize the scenery.

The 2 hour ATV ride is good for experts who are well-acquainted with these all-terrain vehicles. The path can be quite muddy, dusty and rugged. Tourists should wear durable clothes that they aren't concerned about getting dirty. It is wise to wear long pants, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a towel.
