Guided Hiking Tours of Hawaii

Hiking can be one of the best ways to see the islands of Hawaii. There are a variety of tours available for the novice to the experiences hikers, and many of these tours allow you to get up close and personal with many of the islands famous landscapes and attractions. Some tours are guided while others allow you to explore the scenery on your own. These tours will take you through lush rainforest landscapes or allow you to view lava flowing into the ocean.

Volcanoes National Park

The more popular hikes are the ones that wind through Volcanoes National Park. Over 150 miles of tails can be found inside the park. These hikes take you along Kilauea through various landscapes, including a fern forest where some ferns reach up to thirty feet in height. The guided tours allow you to learn about the history and ecosystem of the islands. For the serious hiker, there are also overnight hiking tours that are available.

Rainforest Hikes

Hawaii also offers the opportunity to hike through its lush, mountainous rainforests. These adventures take you by beautiful waterfalls and along the edges of cliffs. A word of caution when hiking these mountain trails without a guide, please stay on the established trails and be mindful of the time. Many hikers become easily disoriented and lost when seeking their own adventures.
